About Women of Today

The Hub City Women of Today is a non-profit group that focuses on community service through volunteerism, personal growth, and fellowship. One of our main projects is to sponsor the Miss Aberdeen contest and a talent contest for our local youth.

The Miss Aberdeen and Jr. Miss Aberdeen contest is an opportunity for our youth to meet other young women in the community their age, go through an interview process, and learn things about themselves, their community, and leadership. Our talent contest is held in conjunction with the Miss Aberdeen contest. Last year with the help of sponsors, we awarded over $500 to our talent contestant winners and gave a small scholarship to the Miss Aberdeen contest winner. The money we receive from sponsors also helps pay to send the current year’s winners to compete in the South Dakota Snow Queen Festival, which is held in Aberdeen in January.

Whether you want to give back to your community; develop your

individual talents in speaking, writing and other
areas; or make great new friends, Hub City Women of Today

has something for you and you'll bring something
unique to the organization! New voices and new ideas are

always welcome.

Royal Family

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Inviting you to join
our Royal Family

The 2020 Royal Family is Miss Faith Nell, Jr. Miss Summer Ryan, Little Miss Brooklyn Nipp & Little Master Stephen Hammond.

The list of things our Queens did during their 2020 reign looks a bit different than normal.  Many of the fundraisers and events the Queens attend were canceled, but it didn't stop Miss Faith and Jr. Miss Summer from have a great year!  Some of the things they were able to do included Salvation Army- Bell Ringing, YMCA Luau fundraiser for needy families, and the Aberdeen Area Humane Society fundraiser - Puttin’ for Paws golf tournament.  Hopefully there will be more to come!

Their unprecedented year did not stop them from having a great year and creating a bond of friendship that will last a lifetime.

Check out the Local Contest page for more information on how you can sign-up to compete in the Miss Aberdeen/Jr Miss Aberdeen contest!
